Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book an appointment to try on dresses ?

We strongly recommend booking a stess free appointment as we work closely with all customers, and you will require a member of staff, and a fitting room, for trying on purposes.

Do we allow children in the shop?

Children of all ages are allowed with the bride and her family, and facilities are available to help, with drinks and toilet for customers readily available.

What is the price range for wedding dresses?

We cater for all budgets however big or small, with instalment plans optional if preferred, to spread the cost. For the ‘order in collection’ dresses start from as little as £499 with ‘ready to wear’ dresses available for £299 upwards. To order a dress we require 50% of total prior to the order being placed with the designer, with the balance to be paid within 4 weeks of the dress being received to the shop.

Do we charge for alterations?

Alterations  are a separate cost, and our brides go to the seamstress directly for any adjustments to the dress that may be required. It is not compulsory to use the recommended ladies, but they are qualified bridal seamstresses with years of experience and are reasonably priced for our brides. Alterations generally take place 6 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Do we store dresses for customers?

We are able to store dresses free of charge until required, with brides returning their dress back to us after any alterations have been made, and pressed ready for collection for your wedding day.

What size samples do we hold for customers to try on?

To help all brides we have samples from size uk 6 – uk 26, although we can order bigger and smaller if required. It is not always possible to try on the desired dress in the correct size needed, but generally will be close enough to achieve how it will look. For some of the styles in the collection we have two samples, to help customers with their decisions.

To place the order with the designer, we require 50% of the total cost of the dress, with the outstanding balance for customers due for payment at their first bridal fitting, or within 4 weeks of the dress being received by the shop, whichever is soonest.
